The brief

Bring dependable guest connectivity to a large hospitality destination.

Aberdunant Hall combines a luxury hotel and holiday-park accommodation across extensive woodland grounds near Porthmadog.

The published project brief called for an ultrafast fibre guest Wi-Fi service across the park. That meant treating the incoming connection, backbone and wireless distribution as one site-wide system rather than a collection of domestic routers.

The challenge

Scale, terrain and changing guest demand.

Large hospitality sites create very different network demands from a single building. Accommodation areas, facilities and operational spaces must be connected across distance, while the guest load changes sharply with occupancy and season.

DistanceMove connectivity across a large wooded site.
CapacityPlan for many guests and devices at busy periods.
OperationsKeep the network understandable and supportable.

The approach

A fibre-led backbone with wireless coverage built around the site.

The useful pattern for a project of this kind is to establish strong backhaul and distribution first, then place wireless coverage around the accommodation and public areas that require it.

  1. 01
    Understand the live site

Map buildings, guest areas, operational dependencies and practical installation routes.

  2. 02
    Build the backbone

Use appropriate fibre and network infrastructure to move capacity across the destination.

  3. 03
    Deliver and support Wi-Fi

Configure guest coverage as one coordinated network with a clear local support route.

The outcome

One managed network instead of isolated pockets of connectivity.

The project demonstrates Criccieth TV’s ability to coordinate internet service, fibre infrastructure and wireless distribution around a demanding North Wales hospitality site.

For a new project, the exact design and measurable results would be documented during survey, commissioning and handover. This case-study draft intentionally avoids adding unverified performance figures to the established published facts.
